Bio

Bryan's music has been described as...
“Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp, jamming with the Beatles and BB King, in the back of a 1957 Bluebird Bus, on the way to Mountain Fest!”

Singer/Songwriter Bryan O'Ruanaidh started his musical career at age 14, when he decided that playing in a band was the life for him. Soon he was playing in dance bands, around southern Ontario. Making his way west, he ended up in B.C. and settled in the West Kootenays

After ten years of living and performing with various bands in the the Slocan Valley
, Bryan moved to Vancouver in order to access a larger audience and pursue a solo career. He hired 'Odds' guitarist, Steven Y. Drake, Steven's brother, Adam Drake (Powder Blues Band - Holly McNarland) and keyboardist, Rick Hopkins, (Colin James Band) for a studio project. They recorded four of Bryan's original songs. Which received airplay and garnered good reviews on some Vancouver radio stations, but generated no income. A young, family needed to be fed, so he got a "real" job.

Now the kids are grown and gone, the need to connect and communicate with his audience has become paramount. Bryan has been writing new songs, re-learning and re-arranging classic rock, blues and folk material and performing for people in Pubs, Coffee Houses, Music Festivals, House Concerts, and Benefit Shows.

He is currently working on new material, and doing pre-production recording with his band "tHe Hurtin Kind"

His most recent CD: "LIVE" at the RailYard was released in February 2017.
